Algalo's successfully grew few types of algae in the facility: Nannochloropsis sp., Isochrysis sp., Porphyridium sp., Spirulina sp. and Chlorella sp.
The past two years we have focused in cultivating the algae Haematococcus pluvialis for its Astaxanthin content, currently The Company grows Haematococcus and examines maximizing growth and production methods. Algalo unique growth methods show results of production Astaxanthin concentration in the range of 2.5% to 4% with high yield per volume.Astaxanthin pigment is the most potent antioxidant known in nature, accordance with the current knowledge of the market. Astaxanthin has been scientifically proven to be effective than any other Carotenoid : The antioxidant effect is 500 times higher than Vitamin E, 10 times than β-Carotene and other Carotenoids.
